PRIVACY POLICY
ZEUS SQUADRON
We ask Discord for your user ID, username, and avatar so the site knows who you are. That's it. There's no database, no analytics, no ads, and nothing gets sold to anyone. Log out and it's gone.
Who we are
Zeus Squadron is a small group of friends who fly imaginary fighter jets together. This website is a hobby project; nobody here is running a business.
What we actually get from Discord
When you click "log in with Discord," we ask for the identify scope, which is the smallest one Discord offers. It gives us exactly three things:
- Your Discord user ID (the long number, not your handle)
- Your username
- Your avatar reference, so we can show your picture in the corner
Discord shows you this list on its own approval screen before anything happens. You can say no.
What we don't get
Worth being specific, because people assume the worst about "log in with X" buttons. We cannot see:
- Your email address
- Your password – it never touches this site, you type it into Discord
- Your messages, DMs, or anything you've ever posted anywhere
- Which servers you're in, or who your friends are
- Your payment info, real name, or location
Where your information lives
In your own browser, and nowhere else. This site has no database. When you log in, those three fields go into a single cookie that is cryptographically signed, so it can't be edited or forged, and then handed back to your browser. We don't keep a copy.
That means we genuinely cannot produce a list of members, because we don't have one.
Cookies
Exactly one, called zeus_session. It's a strictly necessary cookie – it's the thing that remembers you're logged in – so there's no consent banner to click. It is set as HttpOnly (JavaScript can't read it), Secure (encrypted connections only), and SameSite=Lax (other sites can't borrow it). It expires after 30 days.
There are no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party cookies.
Other companies involved
We're not doing this alone, so in the interest of honesty:
- Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, their servers see the requests that reach us, including IP addresses, and keep standard operational logs for security and reliability.
- Discord handles the actual login, and serves your avatar image directly to your browser. They see that request.
- Google Fonts serves one typeface used on these pages, which means Google's servers receive your browser's request for that font file.
Each of these has its own privacy policy, and none of them are things we control.
Analytics and advertising
None. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no heatmaps, no ad networks, no "anonymized data partners." We don't know how many people visit and we're at peace with that.
Selling your data
No. There is nothing to sell, no buyer for it, and we'd think less of ourselves.
Getting rid of it
Two options, both instant:
- Log out using the menu under your avatar. That clears the cookie, which deletes everything we had.
- Revoke the app entirely in Discord under User Settings → Authorized Apps. That cuts the connection at the source.
Since we hold nothing server-side, there's no "please delete my account" request to file. There's no account to delete.
Age
Discord requires you to be at least 13 to have an account (older in some places), and you need a Discord account to log in here, so that applies to us by default.
If this changes
If we ever add something that stores real data – a database of saved loadouts, say – we'll update this page and say so plainly rather than quietly broadening a vague sentence. The date at the bottom tells you when it last changed.
